So it's back to work after snow/icegate 2011. Thank Goddess I was working from home the day it started because the idiots around here were even BIGGER idiots. If you can't drive in the crap, STAY HOME! It took my friend 2 hours to drive her 10 minute ride home. Insane.
We lost power for almost 24 hours and let me tell you, that's when being on a well sucks. No power = no water and no water = stinky me! The hubby stole over to his moms and took one under the premise of "I'm going to shovel her driveway". Thanks for inviting me and the tween honey. Power came back so I immediately jumped in the shower.
Let me admit something here - I am obsessive about shaving my legs as in, I have to do it every day. So even though we had no water, I had a razor, shaving cream and a bottle of water. Who cares if my pits smelled like tacos I had smooth legs dammit. I have since invested in a gigantic bag of baby wipes so I can take what my husband calls a "whores bath".
Anywho - we're suppose to be getting more ice tonight and I will be prepared in case the power goes out again. I have a 5 gallon bucket of water next to the shower so I can....wait for it....shave my legs.
So here's hoping the weather people are wrong and maybe we'll just get some rain. Of course I would like to have an unscheduled work from home day.
